Hand luggageEach passenger is allowed one item of hand luggage in the aircraft cabin. The dimensions of max. length 56 cm, height 45 cm and width 25 cm (IATA-Standard) and a weight of more than 8 kg should not be exceeded. For security reasons, all pointed and sharp objects, knives and scissors of all types and sizes are forbidden. Please take note, that under certain circumstances the airlines have deviating hand luggage rules. Preferably, you should obtain information before commencing your journey about the precise regulations of your air carrier. Directives / Forbidden ItemsLiquids may only be carried with you in individual containers with a maximum capacity of 100 ml, which must be packed in a transparent, resealable plastic bag with a maximum capacity of 1 liter. The plastic bag (e.g. resealable freezer bag) must be completely sealed. Included among the liquids are gels, pastes, lotions, mixtures of liquids and solid materials as well as the content of pressure containers, such as e.g. toothpaste, hair gel, drinks, soups, syrup, perfume, shaving foam, aerosols and other articles with a similar consistency. Exceptions from the restriction are possible, if the liquid is required during the journey for medicinal or special dietary purposes. The same applies for baby food. Large luggageContinuous security requires continuous control. New EU ordinance has been in force since 1.1.2003, whose task constitutes the assurance of a 100% control of the checked-in baggage. Without exception, every item of luggage is now X-rayed prior to loading into the aircraft. Please ensure absolutely that you arrive on time at the desk of your airline and plan sufficient time for the Check-in procedure.
